Why am I coming back to where I’ve never been?
I have wandered here before!
The sun is warm with a cool edge
The leaves are falling away.
The stubble sea is glowing gold
A combine has come and gone.
I drive alone in good company
But scanning for something more.
Creatures appear in tall silhouettes
I smile and try to get close.
Their gait is awkward, their look wary
Still it seems we’ve met before.
The shutter clicks
The magic is mine.

Se- poetry becomes you! Great pics by the way – so refreshing to see what is typically Sask, but in so clear and sharp an image. Love the flying shot of the wingspan – the colours came out so well. Nice!

Your previous comment was the stimulus to give poetry another try – so thanks for that. The colours on these birds are captivating. So pleased to share their company a few times.

I’ve been waiting to capture the thousands of snow geese – had a GREAT chance yesterday but – no camera on hand! *sigh*

I keep relearning that lesson too. There’s lots of snow geese around so hopefully you get another chance.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I still find it fascinating how each person is attracted to different photos and different lines even though that is hardly a revelation.

Excellent set of images, aren’t they beautiful birds. They say three is a crowd but obviously not for these 3. I love the golden colour of the grass, it really suites the image. Just Magic!!

Thanks. That is certainly my favourite. After the adrenaline rush of trying to follow the birds in the air and wildly snapping photos, it sure is nice to have something to show for it.

Reminds me of Kansas. The Sandhill Cranes migrate through every year and there was always an article in the paper about them at that time.

They visit a lot of places. It could be fun to travel the same route they take.
