As in ‘what should I write about me’ not ‘hey look at me’ … well this thing is off to an awkward start. Maybe I should distract them with an atypical photo.
One of the few times I’ve sat in one spot waiting a long time for wildlife to show up – in this case otters. It wasn’t really cold enough to need the hood but I thot it added a nice effect … and I was a bit bored. The otters never showed up.
I’m an awarding winning wildlife photographer, known around the world for capturing … well that’s unfathomably boring and a bit of a problem since the awards were all in my head and my fame is somewhere down there with my fortune. Better start over and drift a little closer to the truth.
I travel the world seeking beauty in nature … oh wait a minute, I’m not a great traveller and would just as soon never have to go through that cattle call at the airport again! It did sound good in theory.
What if I’m just honest and say I really dislike writing about myself? … why include that? The readers won’t care and likely share the sentiment. Which brings up the excellent point of who IS going to read this?
Life for me is a permanent prairie safari as I seek to photograph the wild and wonderful moments I share with animals in our world … OK that’s not bad. It sounds better than aimlessly driving my truck around on grid roads scaring off every hawk in the area code.
I have a passion for pursuing predators … I think that’s quite a diplomatic way of saying I get easily bored with backyard birds. Oh yes, I should mention that I also like honorary predators like moose and elk. I know it’s a bit of an arbitrary designation.
I’m addicted to humour, asking questions and analyzing everything I care about … that should help to explain all the lame attempts at humour that readers don’t get.
It appears that I may be a bit of an outlier … well I am a photographer so that goes with the territory right? What’s harder to explain is enjoying the company when I’m all alone taking photos.
I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada … now that’s an exciting sentence!
I’m over 300 words and past the attention span of most … I think this thing has mercifully come to an end!

It’s a lot easier to remember the stories if they are true! There is so much beauty to be found with earth’s creatures – and such a thrill when I can capitalize on the opportunities I get. Appreciate the comments!
