Yes, that comment about a photograph looking like a painting and a painting looking like a photograph is exactly the type of feedback I sometimes hear about my photographs. Yes, it sure does look like a painting. Frankly, like something Robert Bateman would paint. The colours are so amazing. Great, great shot.

Perhaps there is a magical sweet spot between painting and photo where they crossover and both look good. I really appreciate those comments. It was just one of those beautiful days when the sandhills kept coming and I kept shooting.

Hard to choose which one is my favourite! Initially it was the first one, but looking at this one a bit closer and it steals the show for me! Stunning…like a painting!

Interestingly, I went through a similar process in deciding what I liked the best.
Isn’t it funny that at times high praise for a photo is that it looks like a painting and for some paintings it’s that they look like photographs?
