Lyle I found your blog via Otto von Münchow. Your nature photos are very beautiful, and your stories great! I will be following your work with interest. 🙂
Hey Lyle, I am enjoying your blog, but just had the opportunity to read a little more about you in particular. I saw that you were in communications, me too! I am still actually, but thought that was an interesting similarity. What type of comm did you practice? I’ve worked mostly in media, fashion, lifestyle, entertainment and tech…
I’m glad you’re enjoying my photography and musings. It sounds like you’re done a lot of different work in the field. I was mostly focused on public relations, working for a corporation.
Lyle, I have been going through your pictures for half an hour now and just can’t get enough. I love your shots, they are incredible. You’re right about one thing. Shooting animals in a zoo doesn’t come close to the ‘real thing’. In mid september I got back from Gibraltar with a few amazing pictures of wild monkeys. I got really close to a monkey family with a newborn. I’d like to hear your thoughts on it when I get to post it. Anyway, lovely blog. I can’t wait for more pictures to come!!! Greetings.
PS. Is that a Nikon you’re shooting with?
Thanks for your extended visit to my blog. I’m happy to hear that you enjoy the photos. It’s nice to hear that you share my bias toward the wild which your monkey encounter confirmed. I use Canon gear mostly since I started with them and it seemed more cost effective to stay with one company. The leading camera companies all make quality equipment and the best products seem to vary by product rather than company.
Words do enormous harm but also save lives and offer hope. One kind word from a stranger in your hour of most need is incredibly powerful. Someone cares, it is worth staying alive.
I’m so glad you enjoy my photos. It’s an honour to here they are inspiring you to do better. There is a real joy in photography available to those who unleash its treasures.
Hi Lyle. Just found your blog while searching for blogs using the same theme as mine. And so thrilled to see that you love wildlife photography, like me. I’ll be following your blog for inspiration. Going through your photos has put a smile on my face and grateful to have discovered my passion 🙂
I’m glad I passed on a smile. I’ve enjoyed taking and sharing these photos so it’s nice if others enjoy them. Wildlife photography is special and a great passion. All the best with your new blog.
Very nice and inspiring blog.
For how long have you been doing this?
As I said, very inspiring for a newcomer in the hobby of photography… http://www.bjorntorngren.com
Thanks. Glad you liked and found it inspiring. I’ve been blogging for a year and photography well I’ve been doing a little of that since high school but probably more seriously the last 5-10 years.
Came across your blog by accident, I’m glad I did. I started blogging 60 days ago, yes I am counting …. lol
I took up the challenge of posting one a day for a year. Your pictures are inspiring, Thank you for sharing them. I look forward to see more 🙂
You’re welcome! The photos are remarkable. I’ve dabbled in photography for a couple of years now, and found I love wildlife/nature photography. One day I will be treking in Africa shooting everything I can. Again, love your work.
The Africa adventure will get you some interesting things to shoot at. I’m in a wildlife stage now with meanderings into nature. It only makes sense to shoot what you love.
I really appreciate the nominations I have received for blogging awards. However, your interest and comments on my photos and ramblings are more than enough. Thanks.
GREAT Pictures!!!!
