Ha ha, I missed that one! Possibly because the changes in color. Had to look 4-5 times to make absolutely sure that there was in fact a third elk in there! 😀

It’s fun to follow your thoughts here 🙂 but the elk staring back at you from the woods . . .? Isn’t that the very same elk entering the woods? Only it has stopped for a second and turned its head in order to find out whether you represent a danger or not? I do not see more than two elks in this picture!

I only see two elk in the photo as well and wrote the text from that perspective. Obviously something in the text lead you to believe there was a third one but I must be too familiar with it to identify that.
