I’m “so easy”….both images are pleasing. The big picture gives me more of the feeling of awe as I realize the size of the “castle”. But then, the cropped version does give a more intimate look at the formation. I’d keep both photos and enjoy at different times. Hahaha.

I think I’d have to remove the tres on the right. I like the white and earth tones without the distraction of he trees. It’s a good image as is, but I think it would be more dramatic if cropped.

That’s what I thot. The line between the geyser activity and the treed area was quite stark and might have been an interesting photo in it’s own right if I had focused there.
