I thot I would post a photo of what I looked like when I see dessert coming. Why? Well this is sort of a food blog.
Interviewing a random Krahnpix reader seemed like a good way to get insight into why people read my blog. Maybe not …
Why do you read Krahnpix?
I have no idea what you’re talking about. Never heard of chron picks. What is it?
It’s a blog about wildlife and nature and …
Well I’ve never heard of it. Has anyone ever heard of it?
Why does it have such a ridiculous name?
It seemed like a good idea at the time and … what a minute, I’m supposed to be asking the questions here. OK so if the blog was popular and if you were a regular reader, what would impress you about the Krahnpix blog?
First of all I’d be impressed if I could just figure out how to spell chraun pics.
By the way, how did you get my name?
You were chosen from a list of people who have indicated they liked at least 10 blog posts on Krahnpix.
Really? Well just because I liked it didn’t technically mean that I actually read all the recipes carefully on the blog or you know really liked any of them. I’m a bit of a foodie and I’m a nice person so I was, you know, being supportive. That’s good right?
So you thot it was a food blog and liked it anyway?
Oh no, sorry, yes, yes you mentioned animals. That’s the other blog, silly me. Yes the animals eating food that you laid out for them. Yes, now I remember. Good blog.
OK … I’ll move on to the next question (though I’m not entirely sure why). Is there anything you don’t like about the blog?
I think I found the writing a bit serious. Maybe the guy could loosen up a little – seems a bit uptight. Maybe add a few photos now and then.
Do you have any other improvements you would like to suggest?
Now that you mention it, I’ve been looking for a blog that features wildlife, nature scenes – stuff like that. It might also be good to tell some stories. I heard stories really grab people’s attention and get the audience to read every word.
Ah yes. Thanks. I’ll be sure to pass that along.
So remind me what I get for doing this interview?
Your prize is listed on the home page of krahnpix.com.
Excellent. I’m heading to kron picker right now. I hope there’s some new recipes.
I’ve wondered about the uptick in follows lately by people who have never read my blog – makes me wonder if they think my blog is something that it’s not. I’ve been meaning to bookmark that cheesecake recipe again, can you give me a link?

I always sound it as Kr-ah (long a, as in father)-n-pix in my mind, to sound like Kran, German for crane.
I agree you could lighten up a bit, and a few sloths would be nice, or failing that, penguins.
LikeLike
Well I’ve never seen a sloth or a penguin in the wild but I’ll keep a lookout when I wander around the prairies. I know they must be hiding around here somewhere.

Tee hee. Thanks for the roundabout way of confirming the pronunciation of your name!

Here’s the funny thing – I never even thot about that. I was just trying to come up with different spellings.

Stealth phonetics revelations. I’m always looking for the extra message in what I read! Maybe sometimes I miss the main one, but I hope that happens infrequently.

I like that phrase – stealth phonetic revelations. I should try it on purpose sometime. Occasionally I put in subtle messages in my posts but usually I’m the only one that gets them.

Very amusing and entertaining, but you are fortunate you don’t have people attempting to pronounce and spell Lanoue.
That white butt elk shot is…well I can’t think of a better description then perfect. It is as far as I’m concerned a perfect image.
Does not get any better.

Thanks. That is high praise from someone who takes amazing photos. But now you’ve got me wondering about your name since I can only think of one way to pronounce it. So how do you pronounce it?

La-new.
There should be a ton of Lanoues in some Canadian phonebooks since it is a French Canadian name, but none here in SC.

I did enjoy the photos of the elk though. That is an elk, isn’t it?

Glad you found it funny. It’s an elk. Interesting that they are so common here that I assume everyone knows what it is. One more wrong assumption!

It’s especially wonderful to read your postings early in the morning, so I can be sure of starting the day amused and inspired by your words and your photos. I especially enjoy the fact that you don’t take yourself too seriously and often make yourself the subject of your humor, though the faults and foibles of others are not immune from an occasional barb. Besides, it I stick with you, I might eventually be able to distinguish between deer and elks and moose and caribou–for the moment I m content that this suburbs guy can safely say that the animal in the photos is not a cow. Wait a minute, is a female elk a cow?

I’m happy to amuse and inspire your morning though I’m relieved to not be awake that early (especially in ET). Yes there are a few barbs thrown around Krahnpix. It is an urge I am incapable of resisting and, most times, at least I find them funny. You never know, maybe an elk or moose cow will get lost and wander into your suburb marsh!

In this case, Krahnpix is a great read because of the marriage of humor and photography, without the necessary papers and ceremony. 🙂 I just mean to say I liked your photos and humor.
