A simpler time

It feels like it was about 250 years ago when I was a small boy growing up in a small town. Life was simple but good. Entertainment consisted mostly of playing whatever the neighbourhood kids were playing outdoors. Perhaps that was because we didn’t have a lot of “screen time” on our black and white TV.

Still some of the shows we watched left enduring memories. Who could forget Sesame Street and the strange attraction it held for many years. I recall that sometimes a show would be brought to us by a colour. Throughout the program, different items of the same colour would be presented.

So in memory of a simpler time, this blog post is brought to you by the colour yellow.

gosling, goose

I’m yellow and cute.

What’s going on over there?

I know what you’re thinking but this white spot was here before I landed!

Western Kingbird

Just standing here thinking yellow is a nice colour.

The yellow bird is going to win this standoff!

That Western Kingbird shot is my fave in the series. The colors of the bokeh surrounding the bird is like Seurat’s use of juxtaposition in his paintings to bring out the colors of the bird.
