Imagine you taught a fox to eat
Imagine you taught a fox to hunt
Imagine you taught a fox to feed her kits
Would you ever imagine a fox learning so well?

Smart little pups – aren’t they. That’s a lot of work for take-out.

A great hunter for sure. Like the overhead shot as she heads to her den. Makes you want to follow to witness the interaction with her young. Good job!

I still can’t get over the size of the fox’s tail and the beauty of its color (and the “vole-uminous” capacity of its mouth). The shots are spectacular of a beautiful creature that I have never seen in the wild.

Thanks. It really is a spectacular creature and such a treat to find in the wild. When this year began I had no fox shots and two remarkable encounters changed all that. Your mouth description is exactly right!

That is quite an impressive mouthful that vixen is carrying, Lyle. The view from above as she follows the bison trail is a great perspective of her in the landscape.

Thanks. I have no idea how she managed to get them all stuffed in there but happy she did. The trail shot is a good reminder for me to keep shooting even if it seems like the moment is over.

Very nice. I really like foxes, too, and we are lucky to have gray foxes in our neighborhood. Saw a kit late last night run across the street in our headlights. Thought it was a cat until we saw the pointy ears and bushy tail.

I believe a true mark of a successful photographer is one that can make his viewers feel like they are in the moment or actually there.. Lyle has that ability and seems to pull this off with every blog he posts..
