The view is nice, in fact it’s beautiful even in mid afternoon on a summer day. It’s typical northern Saskatchewan.
Like most of the best views, there’s much more here than scenery. There is the sound of clear water trickling over smooth rocks and cheerful birds singing. There is a sense of peace permeating the place as I sit and watch bugs inexplicably dance on the water surface. There is the overwhelming wonderment of being alone in nature and being all there.
I drink it all in and contemplate what to photograph. There are so many things. I finally settle on different views of the river disappearing. While the scene is wonderful, I can’t help but wonder what lies around the next curve.
It’s a life theme.

Beautiful… Who says Sk doesn’t have a charm and beauty all of its own? Nice gallery, by the way – it shows off the images very well, I think.

SK definitely has charm and beauty but we sometimes don’t recognize it. WordPress has done a nice job of improving the gallery function.

These are super images! I always love the water scenes!
Ya know…this area almost looks a little swampy…anything lurking nearby? 😯 😉

That’s funny. The most vicious creatures I found were huge blood sucking mosquitoes!! Despite that I too am partial to the water scenes.

Oh no! Mosquitos!! They absolutely love me. If there are ten people in a group and one mosquito it finds me.
Gah! Hate those blood suckers!

Me too. The area where these photos were taken are in a beautiful park now but the First Nations folks never settled the area – they claimed there were too many mosquitoes. They had a point.

So calming and happy-making to see these greens and blues when November is starting to weigh me down. Thanks.

It was a happy, peaceful time there! But I also found some nice moments in the snow yesterday and found decidedly fewer mosquitoes!
