Of course everyone just dismissed it out of hand and thot you were a little paranoid. You thot it was good advice so you went with it.

These bird are very beautiful !! What are these birds ?

They are Sandhill Cranes. They stop by in fall on their way south so we get to see them sometimes in large numbers. I really enjoyed photographing them last year and found them an extraordinary creature.
